Please note that any round MUST be shot in compliance with Archery GB & World Archery shooting rules. All rounds will be shot in no more than 6 arrows for any given end, this is dependant on what the ruling is for the round you will be shooting.

A couple of years ago the club Warwick and Portsmouth Incentive schemes were introduced in an effort to help new archers in their transition from beginners to more established, confident archers. On the whole this worked well. However in recent months it has come to the attention to the committee that the schemes as they stand are open to mis-interpretation.

In an effort to clear up any mis-conceptions that the club members may have about the schemes, the committee and coaching staff have re-written some of the rules. we hope that in future, with these changes made, the schemes will be as successful again as they were.
Seniors Incentive Schemes: for members shooting Warwick Rounds outdoors and Portsmouth rounds indoors. Follow links for more information. Warwick score sheet Here and Portsmouth score sheet Here.

Please remember to either pass your fully completed score sheets to either the Records Officer or deposit them into the box in the club hut for collection.

NB: All Juniors please put your age group on your score sheets. ie. U12, U14,U16 or U18 (if your 12 then you are in U14 and so on).

Please remember to either pass your fully completed score sheets to either the Records Officer or deposit them into the box in the club hut for collection.

HAA JUNIOR BADGE SCHEME

The scheme has been agreed by all clubs in the County at their last meeting and now we have the details for you. By clicking on the Table link below you will get to the details of the scores needed for each level of the scheme. The idea is that as a junior archer, you will be able to come off a beginners course and very quickly be able to qualify for the green badge in whatever bow style you chose. By progressing you will find that the white and black soon follow but once past that things get a bit more interesting to the point where if you want to achieve the top level Purple badge you need to be knocking on the door of Junior Bowman. It is up to you how far you want to go, do you want to collect the full set for your age group or just go for the top it's up to you. All badges up to and including the Gold are claimed through your club. So whether it is your Junior Rep (Jessica Bellamy) who has the details it is for you to find out. But when you get to the Purple claims must be made on the form we have put up here and sent in to the County Junior Rep for it to be checked and arrangements made for the badge to be presented to you.

  • 1.       The scheme is open to all junior archers affiliated to the Hertfordshire Archery Association.
  • 2.       Age group is determined by an archers age on the day of the 3rd qualifying round.
  • 3.       All scoring is to be conducted on official club or tournament score sheets in accordance with GNAS rules of shooting.
  • 4.       An archer may not claim for a lower award than that already achieved.
  • 5.       Archers may claim for awards at a higher age group if they wish. (please note 4. Above)
  • 6.       Clubs will be responsible for awarding all but the Purple award to their junior archers.
  • 7.       Purple awards must be submitted on the appropriate form to the current HAA junior rep.
