03/12/20 POST LOCKDOWN 2: COVID-19

 AGB have stated that archery can resume as per Tier, guidelines will change as tiers change, we currently are working with tier 2 and can resume as we did before lockdown 2.

HAA Postal League November to March

Hertfordshire Archery Association – Winter Postal League Rules

PORTSMOUTH OR FROSTBITE

PORSTMOUTH 20YRDS 60CM FACE 60 ARROWS

FROSTBITE 30M 80CM FACE 36 ARROWS.

  1. Frostbite to be shot outside,  Portsmouth round can be shot in/outdoors . (Correct face and distance)

  1. All rounds to be shot under Archery GB rules.

  1. The league will run from November  to  March (inclusive)

  1. Clubs to send archers best score for month, Details to include Name, Gender , Age group, Score and bow type. Juniors to send score as shot, and adjustments will be made if mixed bow teams are formed.

  1. Each match must be shot on a Club Target Day or at an official Tournament.  Proper scoring rules must be applied.  The best scores from each month may be entered provided proper rules of shooting have been adhered to. And is postal.

  1. If sufficient archers of bow types shoot , In addition to individual score tables HAA will form Team leagues.

Team size  Recurve 5, all other bow types 2, Juniors 3.

  1. Points are awarded to teams on a monthly basis as follows:-

1st = 15 pnts, 2 = 14 etc.

  1. Medals will be awarded based on numbers of scores received.    

  1. Results are to posted to the match captain before the end of the month at (matchcaptain@greendragonbowmen.org.uk)

  1. Archers can only shoot for the Club that their first score is attached to.

  1. The Hertfordshire Archery Association must be the Archers’ first named county.

  1. Only one score per Archer will be accepted in each discipline. An Archer may compete in more than one discipline.

  1. Archers and clubs must send in scores for at least 3 of the 5 months for each discipline they have entered. 

  1. The HAA Organiser’s decision is final.

** IMPORTANT MESSAGE
FOR MEMBERS **

Please be reminded that you MUST carry your Green Dragon membership card and display it on your quiver and display your car badge at all times when you visit the shooting field. Knebworth Estates staff will now check these regularly. Also remember that access for archery members is limited to the huts, the shooting field, and the toilets. We do not have open access to the park itself.
 

Green Dragon Bowmen is a member of ontarget, Archery GB’s Club Development Programme. Clubs joining ontarget are making a public pledge to be open and friendly, to advance archery and to proactively work with Archery GB and in return clubs will be recognised, rewarded and given support, guidance and advice to develop and improve.
