Classification/Records

Here are some very useful tables of the requirements for getting your archery classifications ranging from third class to Grand Master Bowman.

To obtain a classification you need to submit your score for the round shot and the date to our Records Officer. Your score sheet must be cross scored and signed by yourself and the member who has verified your score. Three qualifying rounds are required to obtain the classification. For more information, see the following links or ask the Records Officer.

Please remember you can place your completed score sheets in the box in the club hut for the Records Officer to collect.

Also note that any round MUST be shot in compliance with G.N.A.S (Archery GB) & FITA (World Archery) shooting procedures and Shooting rules. All rounds will be shot in no more than 6 arrows for any given end.

Please note that you can only claim for an award that is equal to or above your age group, you can still shoot and submit any scores below your age group, but you will not be awarded any medals for said round.

FOR MEMBERS **

Please be reminded that you MUST carry your Green Dragon membership card and display it on your quiver and display your car badge at all times when you visit the shooting field. Knebworth Estates staff will now check these regularly. Also remember that access for archery members is limited to the huts, the shooting field, and the toilets. We do not have open access to the park itself.
 

Green Dragon Bowmen is a member of ontarget, Archery GB’s Club Development Programme. Clubs joining ontarget are making a public pledge to be open and friendly, to advance archery and to proactively work with Archery GB and in return clubs will be recognised, rewarded and given support, guidance and advice to develop and improve.

INDOOR ROUNDS CLASSIFICATIONS

For Indoor rounds if you shoot three scores that are shown on the Indoor rounds classification tables above (can be a combination of rounds) you can send off for the appropriate badge, please check with the Records Officer first to confirm that you have acquired the rounds needed before sending off for your badge, please note it would be advisable to order in bulk (family members or fellow club members) to save on the P&P costs.

N.B. This is a different scheme to our GDB Portsmouth Scheme (you scores when handed in are automatically put towards our incentive scheme.
