We shoot in the summer (well, all year round if you're hardy
enough!) in the fabulous location of Knebworth Park and for the indoor
season, we will be shooting at the Nobel School sports hall. For

All (present) members are expected to assist in getting bosses and associated equipment out of the huts / equipment cupboards and set up on the range before they get their own equipment ready and any shooting takes place, also to assist in taking down and storing away at the end of shooting. GDB Members and our visitors MUST park near to the club huts (not the Church car park), you may unload by the church, but MUST return vehicle to the hut car park. --- NB. UPDATE 2020 Due to our licence constraints whilst shooting at our venues Knebworth House and Nobel school, We only shoot the following bow styles (Recurve, Barebow, English Longbow, Compound Bow, Flatbow and (hybrid flatbow/longbow/recurve). All other bows such as Horse Bows, Mongolian Bows or Similar types and Cross bows are not permitted at any of our venues. |

~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~ Field Markers The shooting field markers have been relayed and are in a different location, please see the map below, as email will be sent out shortly explaining the differences .eg: 1.There are 5 discs on the Shooting Line (2 for Shooting line tape, 2 for centres of target 1 and 10 and 1 centre of the range, centres also located at 30, 50, 70 & 90M. 2. the Target range has been enlarged by 2 targets spaces, but it is advisable that targets 1 & 2 are used for distances upto 60Y only. ~~~~~~~~~~ HAA Open Coaching evenings Winter only: Cost: £5.00 block booking or £6.00 pay as you go (19:30 to 22:00) held at: Loreto College, Hatfield Road, St Albans. GDB EVENT 2021 05/01/21 NATIONAL LOCKDOWN 3: COVID-19 Tier 5 Clarification from Archery GB regarding the latest Government National lockdown rules for tier 5, have confirmed full stoppage to all indoor and outdoor shooting until at least 15th February, so we have closed the field. We will continue to update you as and when new information is given, stay safe and stay at home. The SCAS pathway Alignment Acadamy (North Central) are looking for both Recurve and Compound junior archers. SCAS are looking to offer a channel for all junior archers to receive structured training on top of any coaching being received at club level. SCAS are looking for any junior that shows potential and any found will be fed through the current channel with Archery GB to make sure that can reach their full potential. Sessions are once a month on a Saturday morning 10:00 - 12:00. These Sessions are held at Aim4Sport, the cost per archer is £10.00, this covers all technical, equipment ,mental training & physical program.
Exciting times at ArcheryGB- The performance unit have been working towards setting up Archery Training Centres (ATC) around England. We have spaces for adults as well as juniors on the programme. Archery Training Centres will be able to offer the AGB Junior Development programme based on the National Talent Development Programme. (NTDP). One of the Archery Training Centres is going to be based at Aim4sport Training Centre. The ATC sessions will be 3 hrs 09:30am to 12:30 or 13:30 to 16:30 - cost £45.00 for a block of 3 sessions.
